NEWARK, NJ - Job recruiters from 11 companies across multiple industries will be on hand at an upcoming job fair at Essex County College, which is open to students and the public.
The fair will be held Oct. 18 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the college’s fourth floor multipurpose room at 303 University Ave. in Newark. Companies are searching for candidates to fill full and part-time positions.
“We are very excited to continue our outreach to Essex students and the community at large as we work to provide employment opportunities,” said Mitra Choudhury, director of the college’s Training, Inc. program. “We certainly hope to continue offering these employment opportunities in the coming months. I personally hope our students will take advantage of this job fair right on our campus.”
Companies at the fair will include Amazon, Clara Maass Medical Center/RWJ Barnabas Health, Cosmopolitan Medical Staffing Solutions, Daughters of Israel, East Orange General Hospital, FedEx Express, Gateway Group One, Newark Community Health Centers, Inc., Newark Beth Israel Medical Center, NJ Transit, and Tiffany & Co.
Those attending the fair are encouraged to dress professionally and to bring multiple copies of resume and a pen. Attendees should also learn about the employer's culture, product and personnel beforehand to make the best impression on recruiters.
Registration is required to attend the event and may be done so online. Registrants are encouraged to come 15 minutes before their scheduled time slot.
This is the second job fair this year that was organized by the college’s Training, Inc. program.
