PATERSON, NJ - A 15-year-old Paterson boy was arrested Saturday after he was discovered by a police officer carrying a black bag containing two fully loaded semi-automatic weapons.

According to Public Safety Director Jerry Speziale, the teen was observed at approximately 6:10 pm in the area of 12th Avenue and East 24th Street by Police Officer Jensin Burgos. At the time, Burgos reported, the juvenile was “acting suspicious attempting to avoid” him.

After Burgos exited his marked patrol vehicle and attempted to communicate with the juvenile the suspect began to flee through an alleyway where he discarded the black bag and a handgun fell out of the bag, the report said.
