Penn Valley, Lower Merion Township, PA — Lower Merion Police were called to 1655 Oakwood Drive, Penn Valley on May 8 at 7 PM for a reported Jewelry theft.

Investigators learned that between March 1 and May 3, 2019, the owner had been traveling out of town.  Upon her return, she found that roughly $17,000 of her jewelry had been stolen.

The police checked the apartment for any signs of tampering of the locks or forced entry, and nothing was evident.

The following items were taken:

  • A 7" diamond tennis bracelet valued at $11,200

  • A Cartier ladies watch valued at $2,600

  • A Gold bracelet valued at $2,000 that had been engraved with the victim’s last name.

  • A bracelet and a necklace were also taken that had a combined value of approximately  $1,200.

The investigation revealed that multiple people had keys and the ability to access the property.

The case has been turned over to Lower Merion's Detective Unit.
