18th Annual Fanny Wood Day on Sunday, Sept. 29

September 28, 2013 at 12:00 AM

FANWOOD, NJ – Contests, entertainment, vendors and classic cars are just a few of the things being offered at the 18th Annual Fanny Wood Day to be held on Sunday, Sept. 28, 2014.

The Fanny Wood Day Committee, co-chaired by Jason and Steven Parker of K-9 Resorts on South Ave., has put much time and effort into making sure there is something for everyone.  More than 60 classic cars are expected for the Car Show portion of the day, to be held on South Avenue. Residents can enjoy various food contests, including an ice cream eating contest sponsored by the Double Dipper, a pizza eating contest sponsored by Nick’s Pizza.

“The great thing about Fanny Wood Day is that it’s more than just a street fair and we encourage everyone to join us for this great hometown experience,” said Fanwood Mayor Colleen Mahr.

For information about being a vendor or other upcoming street festivals, contact Cissy Gialanella, JC Promotions, Inc., (201) 679-6846 or events@jcpromotions.info.
