Light snow began falling just before noon and has gradually increased. 


WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY
At 4:07 p.m. Saturday, the National Weather Service issued a Winter Weather Advisory for northeast New Jersey, including West Essex. The Advisory is expected to be in effect from 11 a.m. Saturday until  11 p.m. Saturday evening. The advisory was issued because of the likelihood of snow, strong winds and low visibilities.
 

Governor Chris Christie's State of Emergency and Essex County's Emergency Order remain in effect.
