WESTFIELD, NJ — The Westfield Boosters Association presented 25 student athlete scholarships recently in honor and in memory of coaches, athletes and Boosters and on behalf of local sports organizations. Scholarships were awarded based on athletic achievement, scholastic performance and leadership qualities.

Clarkson Honorary Award; Alumni Scholarship; Sarah Cronin, Alumni Scholarship; Abigail Cook, Toni Bristol Honorary Award; Christopher Sweeney, Gary Kehler Award; Michael Esler, Jack Martin Spirit Award; Gabrielle Stravach, Thomas Hornish Achievement Award; Jenna Helfand, Peter Houlihan Award - Female Recipient; Jeremie DeDea, Peter Houlihan Award - Male Recipient; David Kane, Westfield Basketball Association Award; Elena Scarano, John Byrne Memorial Scholarship; Dylan Elliott, Friends and Family of Marge and Bob Brewster Scholarship; Karli Sottung, Greta Schoenemann Memorial Scholarship; Erica Fischer, Jim Nicoll Scholarship Award; Michael Ionta; Westfield Baseball League Award; Cali Chambliss, Girls Softball League of Westfield Scholarship; Mary Randazzo, Friends of Girl’s Lacrosse Award; Julia Criscuol, Westfield Tennis Association Award; Jack Kessler, Deborah Tuohy Memorial Scholarship; Dane Huber, Judith and Bruce McLane Memorial Award – Male Recipient; Christine Ferraro, Judith and Bruce McLane Memorial Award – Female Recipient; Thomas Anderson, Athletic Directors Scholarship; Kathleen Bond, Advisor’s Award - Female Recipient; Daniel Myers, Advisor’s Award - Male Recipient; Matthew Luppino, Executive Committee Award; Caroline Baldwin, President’s Award.
Some scholarships were funded by the Boosters Association. Others were funded in whole or in part by The Friends of Westfield Track, John Bennett, the family of Toni Bristol, the family of Greta Schoenemann, the friends and family of Marge and Bob Brewster,the John Byrne family, the Westfield Baseball League, the Girls Softball League of Westfield, the Westfield Basketball Association, the Westfield PAL, the Friends of Girls Lacrosse, the family of Deborah Tuohy, the Lessner family, the Tresnan family, the family of Judith and Bruce McLane and anonymous donors who provided funding toward scholarships in honor of Peter Houlihan.
