SCOTCH PLAINS/FANWOOD, NJ -- Senior cross-country runner Brandon Garcia has committed to continue his academic and athletic ventures next year at the University of Albany, according to Scotch Plains-Fanwood Raiders Cross Country and Track & Field Twitter page.

Garcia finished second in the 5,000 meters with a time of 16:16.0 at the Union County Conference Championships on Oct 16. He also finished 10th in the 3200 meters with a time of 10:29.05  at the County's Senior competition in September. Last fall, Garcia was named Cross Country First Team All-County and was honored by Mayor Al Smith and the Scotch Plains Council in December 2017.
