5 Out of 8 Westfield Teams Advance to State Odyssey of the Mind Tournament

Nearly 50 students from Edison, Franklin, and Jefferson schools competed in the Liberty Region Odyssey of the Mind Tournament on March 1st in Sayreville, NJ.  Odyssey of the Mind is a creative problem solving competition.  On competition day, teams present a solution to a long term problem in an 8 minute skit.  They also solve a spontaneous problem at the competition site.

This year, 8 teams from Westfield participated.  All of the teams are coached by parent volunteers.  Five teams will advance to the state finals on April 12th.   Results for the Liberty Region competition are as follows:

Placing 1st in the Vehicle Problem "Driver's Test" (Advancing)
