LIVINGSTON, NJ — An 8-year-old girl from Livingston was transported to Saint Barnabas Medical Center on Wednesday after being attacked and bitten by a fox while playing near a shed on Springbrook Road, according to police.
Upon their arrival at a Deal Lane residence around 4:45 p.m., Livingston officers discovered that the child suffered several small puncture wounds to her shins and foot. According to the officers, a neighbor heard the commotion and was able to chase the fox away.
The child was sent to the hospital for treatment, and Livingston Animal Control was dispatched in an attempt to locate the animal.
