LIVINGSTON, NJ - “A Day for Us—A Marriage Retreat: Because Good Marriages Don’t Just Happen” is coming to Trinity Covenant Church, located at 343 E. Cedar Street in Livingston on Sat., March 22 from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. The event is for married couples, or couples considering marriage.
The presenters Faith and Dan Totushek are trained educators in the Gottman Seven Principles Program. John Gottman, the author of Seven Principles for Making Marriage Work, is a researcher who began some 40 years ago to find and distill what made some couples succeed in marriage, while others didn’t. The Gottman program is built on helping couples learn the skills that keep love alive and make strong marriages.
The day will include teaching, interactive discussion, and couples’ activities, along with refreshments and lunch. The retreat donation is $50 per couple ($10 additional for the Gottman book).
