Community members -- including Thomas Sulcer, Kathy Lucas, Penny and Frank Bolden, and Pamela Paskowitz, Ph.D. -- gathered for a reception at Overlook Medical Center to celebrate the life of 78-year Summit resident Capitola Dickerson, Juilliard graduate, piano teacher, devoted volunteer, and civil rights contributor.

A plaque, honoring her life-long commitment to the people of Summit, was dedicated at the event, which was hosted by the Overlook Foundation, and brought together members of Dickerson's church, friends, and students whose lives she touched during nearly a Century of community service and leadership.
