For Lansdale residents Ray Liberto and Tara McNally, Molly Maguire's and Wood Street were the constants that led them to matrimonial bliss.
It all began almost four years ago in October 2010 when Liberto, a manager at Merck, Marine Corps veteran and co-founder of Lansdale Area Fundraising Society, was introduced by his very good friend to his future best friend McNally, a veterinarian assistant at Gwynedd Veterinary Hospital, during a blind date at Molly Maguire's.
Fast forward to June 7, 2013, where, during a rain-soaked First Friday in Lansdale, Liberto closed down Wood Street in front of Molly's and surprised McNally with the wedding proposal, complete with friends, family and a flash mob.
It all culminated Sunday afternoon with a return to Wood Street and that blind date setting to tie the knot, officiated by Lansdale Mayor Andy Szekely.
The wedding reception featured music from DJ Mike Oberholtzer, live music from Mike Greer, catering by Molly Maguire's Pub and event coordination by Katie Van Houten.
