WEST CALDWELL, N.J. – The AAA New Jersey Automobile Club hosted their grand opening festivities on Saturday at their new location on Bloomfield Avenue in West Caldwell. Local dignitaries have been in and out of the store front all week, which saw its first customers on Wednesday.
AAA New Jersey Automobile Club President Betsy Adey, Freeholder Brendan Gill and North Essex Chamber Board members Patrick Law and Michael Daniels were all on hand for Wednesday’s first opening, leading up to Saturday’s festivities.
Adey said AAA is extremely excited to join the West Caldwell community.
“Our new office is a great resource for AAA members and the general public to access all of our services including travel, insurance and financial services,” Adey said. “You can book the vacation of your dreams, have your automobile insurance policy checked and buy discounted tickets to movie theaters and many attractions all in one location.”
Saturday’s Grand Opening celebration included a tribute to a national holiday, Flag Day, with guests having the opportunity to purchase an American flag for a $1 donation to the James Caldwell Post 185 American Legion.
Freeholder Gill said by opening a branch in West Caldwell, AAA reaffirmed its commitment to local families.
“As an advocate for Complete Streets throughout Essex County, I know that AAA cares about the safety of roadway users,” Gill said. “I'm looking forward to working alongside AAA here in their newest office to continue to ensure transportation safety for Essex County as a whole."
Located in the Essex Mall at 905 Bloomfield Avenue, the new branch is conveniently located in the heart of West Caldwell’s business district and offers ample parking and easy access from Interstates 80 and 280, and Route 46. Hours of operation for the branch are Monday – Friday from 9 a.m. – 5 p.m. and Saturday from 9 a.m. - 2 p.m. The office can be reached by phone at (973) 396-1300.
