WARREN, NJ - Our Lady of the Mount Advent Collection for Grades 1 - 5  started this week with toothpaste, toothbrushes, bar soap and deodorant. The Advent collection is for the Good Samaritan Ministry . The Good Samaritan ministry works along side SHIP and the soup kitchen in Bound Brook.

SHIP, the Samaritan Homeless Interim Program, began operations on March 5, 1984 in response to the unheeded cry of the many women, children and men who are in desperate need of emergency housing and associated services.

During the week of December 9 the collection will be for the Somerset County Food Bank and children are asked to bring in a can of fruit.
On Saturday, December 7, the OLM tree lighting will be held after the 5:00 p.m.Mass. A nativity with live animals will be out front followed by light refreshments and a photo opportunity with Santa Claus in Shepherd's Hall.
