'After Hours' Starts March 13 in New Providence

“After Hours” will launch in New Providence at the newly renovated DeCorso Building (aka Senior Center), 15 East 4th St. on Thursday, March 13 from 7 to 10 p.m.

Join us for an evening of wine & cheese and music by Savage Tunes. While socializing, find out what’s happening in our downtown from Gary Kapner, owner and vice-president of Creative Wallcoverings & Interiors and New Providence Council member.

Beginning that evening and bimonthly thereafter “After Hours” at the center will be open to all adults…with a special invite to the “baby boomers and empty nesters” of New Providence. Sponsored by New Providence Community Activities Department, “After Hours” is an opportunity to step away from career obligations and stop by to visit with old friends (and make new).  At upcoming gatherings you can enjoy some refreshments, take a lesson, watch a ballgame, learn some dance steps, become involved in a discussion group or play a game of pool.  If you have a special interest – let us know and we’ll incorporate your idea into our happenings.

“After Hours” is a ‘Win-Win’ for New Providence adults. This program will not take away from the ongoing daytime schedule that has been in place for years at the Center. Rather, it will expand the use of a wonderful New Providence resource. The goal of “After Hours” is to provide a time and place for “boomers” to reconnect with one another while at the same time exploring some new activities.
