PATERSON, NJ - An afternoon shooting in the area of Pennington Street and Market Street sent a 20-year-old Paterson man to the hospital Tuesday, according to Passaic County Prosecutor Camelia M. Valdes and Paterson Police Chief Ibrahim Baycora.

The law enforcement leaders announced that members of the Paterson Police Department were dispatched to the area at approximately 3:27 p.m. on a report of shots fired. Upon arrival responding officers located the victim who had suffered a non-fatal gunshot wound. The victim was immediately transported to Saint Joseph’s Regional Medical Center for treatment.
