BAYONNE, NJ - A Bayonne man faces a number of charges following his Friday arrest stemming from his alleged harassment of customers outside of Shop Rite on Friday.
According to Captain Eric Amato, members of the Bayonne Police Department responded to the store at approximately 10:13 a.m. and were informed that the man, identified as Jamil J. Golson, 41, had left the area. Located soon thereafter in the area of Andrew Street and Avenue C, officers reported that the suspect “behaved in a tumultuous manner and repeatedly shouted profanities” while refusing to provide any identification.
Advised that he was being placed under arrest for disorderly conduct, the arresting officers said, Golson resisted arrest by tensing up and pulling away from their grasps. Once placed in custody and transported to headquarters for processing Golson was also charged with theft for an October 10 incident in which he allegedly removed a wrought iron bench from outside the residence of an 85-year-old female in the area of 15th Street and Kennedy Boulevard.
