LIVINGSTON, NJ — The second Livingston Board of Education (LBOE) online candidates’ forum will take place on Sunday, Oct. 21, from 9 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. All four candidates, including incumbents Pam Chirls and Ronnie Konner, and challengers Todd Goren and Rachel Selvin, will participate.
Like the first forum on Oct. 9, the second forum will be broadcast live on multiple Livingston Facebook groups and open to the public on the “Livingston BOE Online Forums” Facebook page. Those not on Facebook can access the video through this external link. The forum is being recorded live and will be available for viewing afterward.
“It is great to see Livingston residents engage in this new online format to learn about the candidates and their ideas and vision for Livingston education,” said Mike Ramer, the forums’ organizer and chair of the Livingston Vision 20/20 education subcommittee. “More than 2,300 people have viewed the first forum as of Thursday afternoon. With all four candidates participating in the second forum, and about two weeks to the election on November 6, hopefully thousands more will watch to help decide which candidates to vote for.”
The Livingston BOE Online Forums are being organized by Ramer and produced by Livingston resident Robert Allen of New Media Connection. Livingston parents and volunteers, Andrew Miller and Neeli Margolis, will be co-moderators for the Oct. 21 forum.
