Alleged Second Shooter Arrested in January Route 20 Murder Case

PATERSON, NJ - Police have made a second arrest in the homocide case of a shooting that left a man dead on Route 20 last January.

According to Capt. Heriberto Rodriguez, Paterson police on Saturday arrested Quagee Gibbons, 27, in connection with the investigation of the murder of Corey Armstead on Jan. 14. Armstead was shot six times during a robbery and was left to die on the side of the highway in the early morning hours.

Quadasia Adamson was arrested on Jan. 31, and police had been seeking a second suspect until officers Duffy and Lora, working an extra-duty assignment at Riverside Terrace, encountered Gibbons at around 8 p.m. Saturday and arrested him and charged him with murder, robbery and several weapons offenses.
