WEST ORANGE, NJ - The American Cancer Society has announced an initial planning session for its Annual Relay for Life event in West Orange on Wednesday, January 15 at the Turtle Back Zoo Classroom located at 560 Northfield Avenue. The meeting will begin at 7:00 pm.
The Annual Relay for Life event will be held June 13-14, 2014 at West Orange High School. Relay for Life is an overnight event that honors loved ones lost to cancer and celebrates survivors. All those touched by the disease: family, survivors, caregivers, are welcome to attend and learn how to form or participate in a team.
Members from the West Orange, South Orange, Maplewood, Livingston, Short Hills and Millburn communities are needed to join the Relay for Life Committee, become team captains, and volunteer in several capacities. Teams can be comprised of family, friends, students, and co-workers. For our event to be successful, we need an engaged community that believes we can all truly make a difference.
1 out of 3 people are diagnosed with cancer. Please help us Celebrate, Remember and Fight Back.
If you are unable to attend this meeting, but are interested in learning more or helping out please feel free to contact Lisa Renwick at email@example.com. To learn more about Relay for Life or to register, visit: relayforlife.org/westorangenj.
