Anya Parker-Lentz, a senior at Millburn High School, has been hard at work playing live shows in New Jersey as well as in New York City after releasing her first album, The Giving, in 2012. With a number of small festival dates under her belt she spent the better part of 2013 performing at venues like The Bitter End, The Studio at Webster Hall, The Bowery Electric and Hat City Kitchen. Parker-Lentz continues to participate in numerous fundraising events in her hometown to always pay it forward and appeared at 7 local events in September 2013. She continues to write new music and is working on a few new singles with future release dates in 2014.
The album has been well received by reviewers and Parker-Lentz has been praised by Governor Christie who stated, “I commend you for serving as an inspiration for other young musicians throughout our state and I join with your family and friends in applauding you on a job well done.” Connor Murphy, of www.TheCelebrityCafe.Com reviewed the album and wrote that as a young teen, Anya has "accomplished plenty so far, and sparks of an old soul pop into the music here and there; she's capable of achieving a brighter future through her music. Keep an eye out for her music." Her future is certainly bright as she looks forward to another season of live shows in NYC.
