March 14, 2014 at 2:13 PM

EAST BRUNSWICK, NJ - Applications for the 2014-2015 East Brunswick High School Bears and Cubs Preschool Program are now available online at www.ebnet.org/preschool, in the main office at East Brunswick High School located at 380 Cranbury Road and at the receptionist desk of the administration building at 760 Route 18.

FREE to East Brunswick residents, the Bears and Cubs Preschool is an elective for high school juniors and seniors interested in a career in education. In this double period, full year course, high school students learn, plan, teach and observe children, ages 3-5 years of age, in a laboratory preschool setting. Prior to the preschool students’ arrival, the high school students learn about child development, teaching methods, observational techniques, as well as routines that are needed to work with preschool-aged children.  The high school students then observe, plan and teach the preschool students under the supervision of their high school teachers.

Applications must be returned by May 12, 2014. Notification of acceptance will be sent to parents in mid-June. The first day of school will be in mid-October, 2014. The start date is yet to be determined.
