MADISON, NJ - Brooke Healey celebrated her fifth birthday on Sept. 3, but yesterday morning she lost her battle against Diffuse Intrinsic Pontine Giloma (DIPG), a rare and inoperable tumor. Her parents were at her side.  Brooke is the daughter of Steve and Stefani Healey, both graduates of New Providence High School. Steve Healey is a math teacher and coach at Madison High School.

Since Brooke’s diagnosis in January, community, family and friends from near and far have come together in support of the Healey’s mission to provide the best possible care and treatment for their daughter.  A variety of past events and fundraisers were organized on her behalf.  Future events had also been planned.  http://thealternativepress.com/articles/bikers-ride-for-brooke-healey-and-succeed
