PATERSON, NJ- Seeking to build a positive relationship with the community they serve, and renew pride of home ownership among local families, the North Central Jersey Association of Realtors (NCJAR) is once again taking part in the statewide Realtors Care Day on September 13.

According to Anika Nahar, Communications Director for NCJAR, the volunteer effort in past years has been “a great way for members to give back to their communities through improvements including landscaping, outdoor cleanup, exterior repairs and safety modifications.”

“It’s all about paying forward to the community. When a stranger lends a helping hand, it’s different because you’re giving from the kindness of your heart.” Debra Flower, a board director of NJCAR told TAPinto Paterson. “It makes a great impact to see people from all areas of life come together and help each other out. Hopefully this project inspires more acts of kindness because that’s ultimately what makes a community stronger.”

In order to be considered for the project homeowners must submit applications by Monday, July 1. Once the application is approved and chosen, the home is visited for a preliminary site inspection to assess needed repairs and feasibility of the work.
