Armed Robbers Attack Seton Hall Student Near Ivy Hill


NEWARK, NJ – A Seton Hall University student reported that he was robbed at gunpoint while walking on Mount Vernon Place near the Ivy Hill Apartment complex at approximately 10 p.m. on Jan. 25.

According to a Pirate Alert issued by the university, the victim stated that he was approached from behind by four males wearing ski masks, and one hit him in the head with a handgun. The robbers made off with the student’s briefcase, laptop, wallet and cell phone.

The student was not seriously injured. He reported the incident to Newark police.
