Arrest Made After Car Overturned in Randolph on Friday Night

RANDOLPH, NJ- On Friday Jan. 17, the Randolph Police, Fire and Rescue Sqaud responded to the area of Sorman Terrace and Pleasant Hill Road. There was a report of a one vehicle crash. Upon the arrival of the emergency units, a red Toyota was found overturned with the driver inside. Once the driver was removed from the vehicle, he stated that he thought he lost control of the vehicle on black ice.

The driver was transported to Morristown Memorial Hospital for a complaint of pain. A subsequent investigation by P.O. Manilio Iurla led to the arrest of the driver on suspicion of DWI. The driver, 49 year old Richard Riveron of Succasunna, was served with several motor vehicle summons.
