Summit, NJ: On December 6th, The Visual Arts Center of New Jersey welcomed families back to the colorful merriment of its second annual Paint-a-palooza event. Kids and adults contributed to a variety of hands-on painting projects in the Art Center’s Main Gallery and a special “Mondrion-ish” project in the Eisenberg Gallery. Guests also enjoyed kid-friendly mac and cheese, meatballs and music. One-of-a-kind paintings created at Paint-a-palooza 2012 and 2013 were raffled off by event co-chairs Lori Donohue, Trustee and Teresa McGoey.
T-shirts from the event will also be on sale all year long at the Art Center. Event proceeds will benefit the Art Center’s education programs, outreach initiatives and exhibitions. The Art Center greatly acknowledges the generous support of in-kind sponsors Trap Rock Brewery, Shoprite of Springfield, NJ, all individual sponsors and the Board of Trustees.
