SUMMIT, NJ - In the movie "Groundhog Day," Pittsburgh weatherman Phil Connors finds himself stuck in time, repeating the same day over and over again, while on location in Punxsutawney, Pa.

The Visual Arts Center of New Jersey, beginning this January, will host a collaborative residency featuring artist and Art Center Faculty Member Lisa Pressman and mixed-media artist Krista Svalbonas, entitled Between Instances: A Collaborative Project by Lisa Pressman and Krista Svalbonas, which will feature photographic images each artist captured on the same time, on the same day, for an entire year.

Wherever Pressman and Svalbonas were on Tuesdays at 3 p.m. EST was memorialized, with those images and other materials creating an immersive installation that speaks to themes of time, place and memory.
