SOMERVILLE, NJ – The Somerset County Employers Legislative Committee (ELC) will host New Jersey Assembly Speaker Craig Coughlin (D-19) at a luncheon Friday, January 25 at Verve Bistro, Bar, & Lounge, 18 East Main St. from 11:30 A.M. to 1:00 P.M.
Coughlin will discuss his priorities in support of the Somerset County and State business community in 2019. Among the immediate issues of concern is the NJ State Comptrollers Audit Report that indicated the Economic Development Authority’s “lack of oversight and poor management of the State tax incentive programs” according to the Assemblyman’s web site.
The Assemblyman has served in the New Jersey General Assembly representing the 19th District since 2010. District 19 covers the Middlesex County communities of Carteret, Perth Amboy, Sayreville, South Amboy, Woodbridge.
“We appreciate Speaker Coughlin’s demonstration of support for the business community by coming to Somerset County to discuss economic opportunities and concerns,” said John Anderson, co-chair of the Somerset County ELC. “With nearly a decade in the General Assembly, and as a Central Jersey representative, he will provide valuable insights and information to our members.”
Registration is $30 and includes lunch. A cash bar will be available. Seating is limited and participants are encouraged to register online at http://bit.ly/1-25elc.
Payment may be made online by credit card or by check made out to the Somerset County Business Partnership. A voucher can be mailed ahead in the name of Somerset County ELC to the Somerset County Business Partnership, 360 Grove Street, Bridgewater, New Jersey 08807.
