Carol Cronheim, the Assistant Secretary of the State of NJ, paid a visit to the Westfield Historical Society at the Reeve History & Cultural Center recently. After reviewing the Society’s preservation efforts at the Reeve Center and perusing the Art Book Exhibit currently being shown at the Reeve, the Assistant Secretary commented, “I am so impressed by the WHS’s hard work and efforts to restore the Reeve House and to provide interesting cultural opportunities for the community, as well.”
Visiting the Art Book exhibit with Assistant Secretary Cronheim was Germaine Trabert, Vice Chair of the New Jersey Council on the Arts. While touring the exhibit, Ms. Trabert indicated, “The exhibit of Handmade Artists Books at the Reeves House is not only very unique and interesting; but also, beautifully and professionally presented.”
The Westfield Historical Society’s mission is to preserve, interpret and encourage interest in history, Westfield and its residents through educational efforts and community outreach programs.
