The Atlantic City Airshow takes place on Wednesday, June 26. Greater Atlantic City Chamber President Joseph Kelly has said.,
“After much thought and discussion with event stakeholders, it was decided to move forward with the 2013 Atlantic City Airshow at an earlier date as a kick off to summer,” said Kelly. “We look forward to another year of performances by the U.S. Army Golden Knights and with the new date, the ability to attract and schedule more demo teams and flybys,” he added.
“The Airshow is one of the Atlantic City’s greatest summer assets,” said Jeff Vasser, president of the Atlantic City Convention & Visitors Authority. “Moving the show to June allows us to take full advantage of the kick-off to summer and the opportunity to drive more visitors to our destination early in the season and showing that Atlantic City’s Boardwalk and beaches are healthy and a great option when planning summer vacations and getaways,” he added.
Past airshow demonstrations and flybys have included performances and demonstrations by the U.S. Army, U.S. Air Force, U.S. Coast Guard, U.S. Navy, U.S. Marine Corps, Air National Guard and civilian acts.
The Atlantic City Airshow is a community partnership between the Greater Atlantic City Chamber; the City of Atlantic City; the 177th Fighter Wing of the N.J. Air National Guard; South Jersey Transportation Authority; FAA William J. Hughes Tech Center; The Atlantic City International Airport; David Schultz Airshows, LLC; the Atlantic City Alliance; the Atlantic City Convention & Visitors Authority and many others.
The Atlantic City International Airport (ACY) is the host airport for the Atlantic City Airshow. The majority of airshow performers take off and land via ACY even though the Atlantic City Airshow takes place over the beach and Boardwalk in Atlantic City.

Beginning Friday, June 21 and continuing for 13 weeks until Saturday, September 21, “Mind, Body & Soul ARTLANTIC” will launch in two art parks with free programming for visitors and residents. Daily events with local arts organizations, performers and fitness experts are designed to appeal to people of all ages.
Ø Rejuvenate the body by beginning the day at Etude Atlantis located at California Avenue on the Boardwalk for morning fitness classes like AC Zumba and AC Sunrise PiYo with Tilton Fitness and local fitness instructor, Dina Buttino. In the evenings enjoy interactive performances by ArcheDream for Humankind and LuxArati.
Ø Bring blankets, lawn chairs and snacks for a late afternoon picnic in the park to satisfy the soul. The ARTLANTIC: wonder site at Pacific Avenue between Martin Luther King Boulevard and South Indiana Avenues will host nightly musical performances by Eddie Bruce, Paul Jost, Melanie Rice Entertainment, Angela Burton, the Atlantic City Ballet and the Bay Atlantic Symphony among others.
Ø Stimulate the mind with various performances on both sites from ComedySportz improv comedy troupe, Bardwalk and Shakespeare in the Parks presented by The Richard Stockton College of New Jersey School of Arts and Humanities, XYXee and Dante Hall Theater. In addition, the Greater Ocean City Theatre Company will delight the kids with such performances as Winnie the Pooh, Peter Pan and musical productions for the young at heart.

The 2013 Atlantic City Airshow is getting ready for takeoff on Wednesday, June 26 and FIN will provide the perfect setting to enjoy the show. Imagine standing on the famous Atlantic City Boardwalk at the legendary Steel Pier and seeing fireworks everywhere—to the left and to the right and even behind you! On this July 4, the rocket's red glare will be 10,000 multicolored fireworks that will illuminate the night. The “DO AC Fireworks Spectacular” is four beautifully choreographed, visually stunning and elaborate fireworks shows along the Atlantic City Boardwalk and Marina on Thursday, July 4 starting at 9:30 p.m. The show is 20 minutes long and will be visible throughout Absecon Island.
The gorgeous, multihued pyrotechnics will originate from four separate locations: the beach near New Hampshire Avenue; Martin Luther King Boulevard; Hartford Avenue; and MGM Resorts Boulevard in the Marina District. The show is being created by the top name in fireworks entertainment, Fireworks by Grucci. It will be choreographed to music which will be broadcast by 95.1 WAYV FM radio.
Fireworks by Grucci is a nationally-acclaimed fireworks entertainment production company that specializes in visual extravaganzas designed for special events around the world. Known as “America’s First Family of Fireworks,” Grucci has produced shows for seven consecutive U.S. Presidential Inaugurations, Olympic Games and World’s Fairs.
Grab your buckets and shovels and get ready to create works of art! Making sand castles at the beach has been a summertime family activity on the beach since the first shell washed up on a shore. And now this great American pastime is coming to the Wildwoods in a big way. Families, friends and kids of all ages who love playing in the sand are advised to start making plans to attend the first annual Wildwood Crest Amateur Sand Sculpting Contest, Saturday, June 29 from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. (rain date Sunday, June 30) on the beach next to the Wildwood Crest Beach Pier at Heather Road. All are welcome and registration is free.
There will also be live music throughout the contest starting with local band Twelve:01 performing progressive and classic rock, followed by headliners The Mango Men with their energized and “sand castle-inspiring” summer themed party music.
The contest is being organized in conjunction with Can You Dig It Sand Tools and directed by internationally known sand sculptor Matt Long. Long is a regular competitor at master competitions, including the World Championships of Sand Sculpting, and is an original cast member of the Travel Channel Show Sand Masters. Long’s career in sand sculpting began right here in South Jersey at amateur events like this one.
Registration for the first annual Wildwood Crest Amateur Sand Sculpting Contest will begin at 9 a.m. on the day of the event. Sand pits will be assigned, with carving starting at 10 a.m. sharp. To ensure a level playing field, the contest will have seven separate divisions ranging from youth solo/groups to solo adult and teams.
Sculptures will be judged on creativity, execution, composition and overall presentation. Prizes and awards will be presented to the top three places in each division. There will also be a People’s Choice award for Best On The Beach, with the winner voted by spectator ballot.
Prior to contest day, on Thursday and Friday, June 27-28, Long will be carving one of his masterful castles at the site, providing an opportunity for those interested to stop by, ask questions and pick up some professional tricks and tips.

The twelfth annual Stockton Goes to the Beach Summer Concert Series returns to the Cape May Convention Center in Cape May, NJ for the summer of 2013. On Monday, July 15, at 8 p.m. Stockton Goes to the Beach presents Christopher Cross who was by far the biggest new star of 1980, virtually defining adult contemporary radio with a series of smoothly sophisticated ballads including the #1 hit, “Sailing.”
