WOODBRIDGE, NJ - Middlesex County Prosecutor Yolanda Ciccone and Director Robert Hubner of the Woodbridge Police Department announced today that authorities are investigating a fire that resulted in the death of one person.

Authorities responded to 88 South Inman Avenue in the Avenel section of Woodbridge at about 9:12 a.m. following a report of a structure fire.

The identity of the victim has not been released and the cause of death remains undetermined pending an autopsy by the Middlesex County Regional Medical Examiner's Office.

No firefighters or police officers were injured.

An investigation into the cause of the fire is active and is continuing.
