LAKE COMO, NJ — A snapshot by Todd and Dorothy Dwyer of their outdoor living space captured first place in the borough’s “Capture the Beauty in Your Backyard” photo contest.

The photo garnered 117 “likes” on the borough’s Facebook page — the most of 13 entries that were submitted for the contest, sponsored by the Tourism Commission. Since many people are have been spending more time at home during the coronavirus, the competition encouraged residents to focus on what brightens their own backyards.

Taking second in the first-ever contest was Sara Purdy, who photographed her dog beside an early-spring flower garden with 88 “likes” and Stephanie Schutz, who placed third with 73 “likes” for her stunning photo of two red tulips.
