BERNARDS TWP., NJ -- SLOW FAST, an exhibit featuring new paintings and sculptures by Basking Ridge artist Serena Bocchino, will be open from March 1 through April 6 in Jersey City.

The exhibit will be on display at the Art House Productions, Cast Iron Lofts Building at 262 17th St. in Jersey City, which is recognizable to those in the area as the "David Bowie Mural Building" with a towering mural visible from the street.

A preview reception is scheduled for 6 to 9 p.m. on March 1. The official reception is scheduled for 5 to 7 p.m. on March 9.

Bocchino has exhibited her work nationally, internationally, and locally in the Somerset Hills. Each year, Bocchino also coordinates an art show at the Somerset Hills YMCA in Basking Ridge as an inspiration and forum for young artists, and to honor her late mother, artist Lucia Bocchino.

She also has contributed her work to in shows at the Farmstead Arts in Basking Ridge, and has been an active member and exhibitor at the Center For Contemporary Arts (CCA) in Bedminster.

Bocchino also produced a book, "Serena Bocchino, The Artist," exploring her sources of inspiration and reproducing the artist's work in the book.

The show in Jersey City will be curated by Andrea McKenna.
