CHATHAM, NJ - Michael Bazzani hit a two-run homer in the bottom of the sixth inning to give Chatham the final runs in an 8-7 baseball victory over Madison on Tuesday.
Bazzani's homer erased a 7-6 deficit for Chatham, which won for the first time this season. Bazzani also was the winning pitcher in relief for the Cougars, throwing 3 2/3 innings of relief to close out the game. Bazzani finished with three hits, two runs and three RBI.
Chris Bredahl had three hits and a runs scored and Merrick Seltz had four hits, a run scored and an RBI in the 13-hit attack for Chatham. Brian Landry also had a hit and an RBI for the Cougars.
