SOMERSET, NJ - Weather forecasters are warning that Mother Nature is whipping up a smorgasbord of nasty weather for the weekend, beginning with rain and some snow Friday night, with slight clearing during the day Saturday, before a second course of rain followed by snow hits the central Jersey region late Saturday into Sunday.

Forecasters are expecting deep freeze conditions, with severe icing.

The wintry mix will continue Sunday into Monday, with temperatures dipping near single digits Sunday night before bouncing back up into the 40s, then dropping again into single digits again Monday night.
