Become A Dancing With The EB Stars Sponsor

September 19, 2013 at 5:29 PM

The East Brunswick Education Foundation is introducing and recruiting businesses in town for the first Dancing with the East Brunswick Stars fundraising event.

Other foundations have used this type of fund raising event successfully to raise $40,000 to $50,000. Our event will feature 12 dancing couples (combining “Stars” - educators, business leaders and town celebrities with professional dancers) and performances from several local dancing studios and from the arts program at the High School on Oct. 6 at the East Brunswick Performing Arts Center (EBPAC).

EBEF plans to sell out the EBPAC (1,000 seats). The EBEF is an independent, 501(c)(3) non profit organization (Tax Identification Number 22-3238568) established in 1993 by parents, citizens and members of the local business community to support programs designed to enhance and enrich the curriculum in the East Brunswick Public Schools. The Foundation raises funds for grants for instructional projects designed to have a positive impact on learning in the district. It also develops partnerships with local businesses, sponsors events for the entire community, and builds links among the schools, residents, business, government and civic organizations. Projects supported by the Foundation include guest speakers, visiting artists, programs related to history and world cultures, and purchases of special supplies and materials. The projects may be geared to one or more classes or to an entire school/department.
