ROXBURY, NJ - Bella, in Italian, means beautiful and this is such an appropriate name for such a wonderful little Calico girl originally from a boarding house situation in East Orange.

Her exact history is somewhat hazy but her "purrsonality" has helped her to rise above the past.

Bella is a confident outgoing friendly cat who loves to play. Her foster mom says no one would mistake her for a shrinking violet or a lap cap.

She has tried every cat toy and tunnel in the house but knows somehow to keep her paws off the furniture and off the counters. Bella has good manners aside from a little "cattitude" with retracted paws when she lets you know there will be no petting right now or she needs her space.

However, like every other woman she appreciates her alone time. What goddess doesn't like to get away from it all for a spa day, a Starbucks coffee or a hot soak in the tub?

And like most ladies she can be a Queen Bee who is selective about her cat friends. She would be happy as an only cat with lots of interactive cats’ toys for environmental enrichment.

You won't mistake her for aloof though as she follows you from room to room to watch curiously what you are doing or rub lovingly against your legs. Every once in a while, she throws out the cutest meow when she feels it's play time or wants to come in from the screened in "catio" after watching the chipmunks and squirrels.

Right now, what Bella needs more than ever is a forever home!
