Beloved Warren Township Educator Constance Leuenberger Joins LearningRx Warren Full-Time

August 7, 2014 at 9:39 PM

WARREN, NJ – LearningRx Owner and Executive Director Marcia Douglas is proud to welcome Constance (“Connie”) Leuenberger to her full time team at the local Brain Training Center, effective August 11.  Leuenberger is a long time Warren resident who is well known in the community through her involvement in the Warren schools. Leuenberger raised three children in the township, has designed and taught a multicultural art camp for the annual “Summer Fun Program” for the past five years, and has served on the district’s instructional team for a full decade.

Leuenberger joined LearningRx Warren last year as a cognitive skills trainer and quickly distinguished herself.  Douglas shared, “Connie is truly an amazing person and we couldn’t be happier to have her as a full time member of our team. She brings a wealth of knowledge about education, cognition and learning. Equally as important, she shares our passion for helping improve the lives of others and for providing top notch service to our clients.” Leuenberger’s colleagues at the Center share Douglas’ enthusiasm for the new hire. Brett Peppe, Director of Training, said “Connie is terrific to work with and her students love her. She challenges them to think creatively, to improve their skills, and change their lives for the better.”

Leuenberger will be missed in the schools where she served in almost every subject, as well as the gifted and talented program, the special education program, and many of the schools language programs from German to Mandarin Chinese. Leuenberger is fluent in four languages and proficient in nine.  According to Warren Middle School Principal Robert W. Comba, “Leuenberger’s ability to work with children is exemplary. She has earned the respect of the Middle School community comprised of parents and students. She is much sought after.” He went on to say “I can neither emote nor enthuse enough about Mrs. Leuenberger’s job performance in the realm of education.”

When honoring Leunberger at a 2007 Board meeting, former Superintendent of Schools Jim Crisfield summed it up best saying, “The value of someone like Connie to us is really immeasurable.” Douglas and her team at LearningRx Warren couldn’t agree more about the value Leunberger brings to the students and families served by the local Brain Training Center.

Members of the community are invited to come to visit LearningRx Warren, located at 34 Mountain Blvd., Bldg. C  to meet or visit with Leuenberger and for a free demonstration of brain training. To schedule a time, please call LearningRx Warren at  908-22-BRAIN (908-222-7246).

Tears Are Good, They Let The Sadness Out

January 16, 2017

Jackie Kennedy and Coretta Scott King were our nation’s role models for mourning in the 1960’s and in the decades since. They were praised for their strength and stoicism, their courage and grace, and rightly so. They were great role models for our nation at a time of great unrest and anxiety, but I would say they were not the role models we needed when it came to grieving our ...

Falling by Jane Green

Falling by Jane Green (Berkley, 2016)

Every now and again I just love a mindless romance novel, and I've been a huge fan of Jane Green's since her first book, Jemima J: A Novel About Ugly Ducklings and Swans. Despite being classified as “chick lit,” the character and plot of Jemima J. has stayed with me for sixteen years after first reading it because the story ...
