Ben Schade and Team Win NJPGA Pro Am at Montclair Golf Club

MONTCLAIR, NJ - Host Assistant PGA Professional Ben Schade and his team of amateurs Noel Cooperberg, Steve Hirsh and Russ Bisset were winners of the Pro Am at the Montclair Golf Club on Thursday.

Montclair Golf Club, founded in 1893, is the 13th oldest golf club in the nation. It has four nine-hole layouts and a practice range surrounded by seven Har-Tru tennis courts, five platform paddle tennis courts and a swimming pool.

Pro Am golf teams consist of combined teams of amateurs and professionals playing on the same golf team. Amateurs usually pay for their places on the Pro Am team.

Schade and his team will advance to the NJPGA Pro Am Championship on Oct. 7. With a team 16-under par, 124, Schade and company defeated Bill Castner and his team from Plainfield West 9 Golf Club.
