BERKELEY HEIGHTS, NJ - Dr. Patrick Smith presented a donation check in the amount of $750 for the purpose of covering the expense of the ImPACT testing program at Governor Livingston High School during the current school year. Smith Chiropractic Family Care & Sports Injury Center strongly supports the need for this program.  ImPACT testing helps establish a brain-function baseline for participants in contact sports and activities, then assists in allowing a student-athlete who is suspected of sustaining a concussive injury to recover fully before resuming contact activities.

Funds raised through the 2012 Berkeley Heights 5K Charity Road Race and Fitness Walk made this donation possible. Smith presented this donation on behalf of all those individuals (runners, walkers, volunteers and patrons) who helped make the 5K Charity Road Race and Fitness Walk a success.  By accepting this donation, Governor Livingston High School allows Smith Chiropractic Family Care & Sports Injury Center to fulfill its goal of vital community support.
