BERKELEY HEIGHTS, NJ - Berkeley Heights businesses came together for the first meeting of the newly formed Berkeley Heights Business and Civic Group. It is free to attend and will be held the first Friday of each month in the chamber room of the town hall located at 29 Park Avenue in Berkeley Heights.
This is going to be the same old meeting as we have done the last eight years, said Dr. Patrick Smith of Smith Chiropractic and founder of this new group. There will be 10 meetings a year, with summers off. The meetings are set up to keep the local businesses and civic groups connected and in the know of Berkeley Heights community happenings and government updates. In addition, it serves as a networking opportunity.
At this past month's meeting, Winter Walk Co-Chairs Cheri Pertesis and Hilary Boothby of Anything Floral and Bobbie Peer of TAPinto Berkeley Heights updated the room on the planning of the Berkeley Heights 4th Annual Winter Walk being held on Saturday, December 1. Participation forms must be received by November 1. Contact Cheri or Hilary at email@example.com with questions.
Being known is what makes your business grow, said Dr. Smith. With that, each of the 30 plus business and organization leaders introduced themselves.
The next planned free meeting will be held on Friday, Nov. 2 at the Berkeley Heights Town Hall. Retired Superintendent of Schools Judith Rattner will be the sponsor of the November meeting. Contact Dr. Patrick Smith with questions at firstname.lastname@example.org.
