BERKLEY HEIGHTS, NJ. — Teachers across the district continue to express concern over in-classroom safety as COVID-19 cases continue to spike state-wide.

Thursday’s Board of Education meeting agenda contains five pages of correspondence featuring emails and letters. Within the listed correspondence are approximately 180 articles with the title, “Protect Students: Make School Remote until January.”

The last meeting in November featured teachers speaking during the public portion of the meeting. They expressed fear for themselves and their students as COVID-19 trended upward — into the Thanksgiving holiday.
