BERNARDS TWP., NJ _ Bernards municipal offices, the Bernards Township Library, and township schools are all closed on Monday, Feb. 18, to recognize Presidents Day.
However, township schools _ which were scheduled in this year's school calendar to be closed on Tuesday, Feb. 19, for the second day of the mid-winter vacation _ will reopen on Tuesday.
The day was re-added to the school calendar as a make-up day for one of the days school was closed for inclement weather after the district had already used this year's three scheduled snow days.
To provide a little more of a break, all Bernards Township Schools will be on a 2-hour delayed opening schedule on Tuesday, according to the school website.
Ridge High and the William Annin Middle School are scheduled to open at 10 a.m. that day, and all elementary schools will begin at 10:45 a.m., the website says. There will be no before-care for students, and lunch will only be served at the high school.
