BHCP Dive Team Completes Season at Tri-County Championships

WESTFIELD, NJ - The Berkeley Heights Community Pool Dive Team wrapped up its season in a tough competition at the Tri-County Dive Championships held at Nomahegan Pool in Westfield on July 25.

The team placed fourth overall, a huge accomplishment as there were only 10 divers present, a far cry from the 30-plus divers that teams usually bring.

Despite having a smaller team than in previous years, second-year head coach Sarah Regan made the best of it.

“We worked with what we had, and we saw great improvement amongst all our divers by the end of the season.” Regan said.

In a three-way meet against Clearwater and Mountainside, BHCP came in second. Even though they didn’t come in first, the team made a statement by topping Mountainside with far fewer divers.

Regan commented, “Our team was so resilient [all season] and I’m so proud of them for that.”

The dive team is open to anyone ages 7-18 years old, experienced or inexperienced. For more information, visit
