NEW PROVIDENCE, NJ - The second annual Bikers for Brooke Motorcycle Run and Family Fun Day will be held on June 7.
The run benefits The Brooke Healey Foundation, which exists in honor of Brooke Healey, who passed away at the age of 5 last year after an eight-month battle with Diffuse Intrinsic Pontine Glioma (DIPG), an inoperable and aggressive tumor.
This police escorted motorcycle run is sanctioned by the American Motorcycle Association and starts at Our Lady of Peace Church in New Providence and winds through the scenic surrounding towns.
Participants are invited to attend even if they are not riding in the race.
Madison High School, Madison Junior School and Madison Central Avenue School will be facilitating “cheer teams.” Part of the bike route includes driving through the entrance of Madison High School where the cheer teams will be located.
A $25 donation is required to be part of a cheer team. Members of each team who have signed up and donated, will be given a commemorative T-Shirt and a Brooke Healey Foundation bracelet granting “FREE” admission to the Family Fun Picnic following the run.
Students from the New Providence school district will be assembling on the front lawn of Our Lady of Peace Church and cheering the bikes as they leave the lot.
The ride ends at Mount Carmel Hall in Berkeley Heights, where the Family Fun Day begins at 2 p.m. with a catered barbecue, cash beer garden and live music. Family activities feature things for kids to do, including a game truck, face painting, sand art, bounce house, ice cream and more.
