August 20, 2014 at 10:56 PM

ORANGE, NJ - The City of Orange Township’s Police Athletic League in partnership with Mayor Dwayne D. Warren, the Orange Municipal Council and a host of Orange community partners will host a “Back to School Rally” and school supply giveaway Tuesday, Sept. 2 from noon to 7 p.m. that will feature Dr. Bill Cosby with a message of achievement for the city’s children.

The event will also feature a  marching band, drum line competition, and much more! The Rally activities will take place in front of Orange Preparatory Academy, 400 Central Avenue, Orange, New Jersey 07050

Dr. Cosby is keenly aware that a child that is equipped to succeed in the classroom has a higher chance of succeeding in life.  Those same children also have the best chance at avoiding the perils of the criminal justice system.  Dr. Cosby is coming to Orange to encourage the Orange PAL, Mayor Warren and all parents to continue to engage in educational and crime prevention efforts that will steer our children towards education and away from the streets.
