NEWTOWN, NJ — Birth Haven, a Newton-based shelter for homeless pregnant women and their babies, is continuing its “Journey of Hope” video series by releasing the second feature.
As Amanda’s journey continues, the viewer witnesses her struggle with “what will come next” after the birth of her child. When faced with the reality that her limited finances are not enough to support two, Amanda continues to rely on Birth Haven’s help to secure the necessary provisions for her and her child.

This second video goes deeper into the very real emotions and concerns that Amanda encounters and the tough choices she must make on her path to becoming a parent. On top of her financial struggles, problems at home continue to make her journey even more of a challenge.
The “Journey of Hope” drive is an appeal during the Holiday season to ask supporters to support the shelter and program for homeless pregnant women and babies. Rather than make it just a direct solicitation campaign, Birth Haven created a series of documentary style videos.
You can embark on the video journey to discover first hand, the struggles, joys, and rewards of one Birth Haven mother on her path to deliver her first child. Watch the first and second video via this link now and continue on in the journey by visiting www.birthhaven.org.
The rest of the videos will be released each Monday hereafter for five consecutive weeks. The last video will air on Christmas Eve, December 24th.
Birth Haven hopes that current supporters and new friends will view the videos and be inspired to help. The need is great and the support makes a massive difference in the lives of these courageous young women and their babies. Contributions to this campaign are an investment in their futures. Please help inspire hope during this season of giving and make a difference in the lives of mothers and their babies right here in our local community.
