Congregation B'nai Jeshurun, Short Hills, will celebrate the Tenth Anniversary of Cantor Howard M. Stahl's installation as their Cantor, during Erev Shabbat Services, Friday, October 23rd at 5:30 pm. Participating in the service will be musician and composer Debbie Friedman, and Rabbi Daniel. H. Freelander, Senior Vice President of the Union for Reform Judaism.

A graduate of the School of Sacred Music of the Hebrew Union College - Jewish Institute of Religion in New York City, Cantor Stahl previously served Congregation Beth Emeth of Albany, NY and Temple Israel of Lawrence, NY. In 1998, HUC-JIR awarded Cantor Stahl an Honorary Doctorate. He also holds a Masters degree in Social Work from the State University of New York at Albany with specializations in both Gerontology and Marriage and Family Therapy. Cantor Stahl held the office of Executive Vice President of the American Conference of Cantors, and was named an Honorary Vice President of that organization.

Members of Congregation B'nai Jeshurun have benefited from Cantor Stahl's outstanding voice and musical expertise for the past ten years and invite the community to join them for this well-deserved tribute.
