The Atlantic City Alliance announces the return of the DO AC Boardwalk Wine Promenade bringing together all 11 Atlantic City casino resorts to celebrate viniculture and the history, pageantry and energy of Atlantic City on the famed Boardwalk. The Wine Promenade will be held September 27-28 with FOOD & WINE joining as the official culinary media partner.

 

The event features 100 wines presented at multiple destinations along a one-mile stretch of the famed Atlantic City Boardwalk. Insider access to rare and expensive wines and champagnes handpicked by expert and media personality Leslie Sbrocco plus gourmet bites, live music and breathtaking ocean views combine to create an only-in-Atlantic City spectacular.

The Atlantic City Alliance, the organization behind the successful “Do Anything. Do Everything. Do AC” campaign made the announcement at the destination marketing organizations’ debut at the Whole Foods Market Grand Tasting Village at the Food Network South Beach Wine & Food Festival in Miami, Florida this weekend. The Alliance will return to the New York City Wine & Food Festival in October 2014.

 

“FOOD & WINE showcases the breadth and depth of AC’s culinary offerings and brings our unique, outdoor wine festival to a national audience of foodies who might not have considered Atlantic City as a foodie destination,” said Liza Cartmell Atlantic City Alliance President. “We decided to make this announcement at South Beach Wine & Food Festival because it is one of the premier food events in the country. Everyone in the food scene attends. Plus 80% of attendees are from AC’s key market of New York.”

Trump Taj Mahal announces star of The Late Late Show and Comedian Craig Ferguson will perform at the Arena on Saturday, May 10. Showtime is at 8pm. Tickets are $49, $39, and $29. Tickets go on sale Saturday, March 29 at 10am. Tickets can be purchased through Ticketmaster or at the Taj box office. 
Craig Ferguson started in the entertainment industry as a drummer for some of the worst punk bands in the UK. Too wimpy to be in punk rock, he started acting. He played Drew Carey’s boss, Nigel Wick, in The Drew Carey Show from 1996-2003.   


Presently he hosts The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson on CBS. He won his first Emmy nomination in 2006, as well as receiving the 2009 Peabody Award for Excellence in Broadcasting for his interview with Archbishop Desmond Tutu.

Former American Idol contestant, Bo Bice, will perform at The Social at Revel on Saturday, April 19, at 8pm.

 

Known for his diverse vocal abilities, the songs Bo Bice is writing these days have put him in a new spot musically. "I feel like 3 is my strongest record to date," Bo Bice said recently. "It’s a plethora of sounds that show who I really am. There's something for everyone; country, soul, rock’n’ roll...it's like your favorite pair of jeans, it just feels right." But 3 is more than just an album title for Bo. He and his wife Caroline welcomed their third child, Ean Jacob, this past January. After a few health scares, Bo’s had a clean bill of health for three years. And, of course, 3 is his third album, a record filled with soulful, gospel-tinged country rock that represents the maturation of a songwriter and performer.

 

 

You can get a lot of insight to Bo’s past on 3, with its constant references to "the road," family, leaving home and life’s spiritual and emotional journeys. Born Harold Elwin Bice, Jr., in Huntsville, Alabama, and raised by his mother, a gospel singer, Bice spent most of his youth moving around the South, until his mother remarried and the family relocated to England where his passion for music blossomed.

The Greater Wildwood Chamber of Commerce presents the 9th Annual Sensational Spring Weekend Friday, April 25 and Saturday, April 26 in the Wildwoods – a two-day celebration paying tribute to 60s and 70s Rock ‘n Roll music.



The fun begins Friday night, April 25, inside the Wildwoods Convention Center with a Dance Party featuring the David Christopher Band, guaranteed to get everyone moving and grooving to classic oldies from the 60s, 70s and early 80s. The Dance Party takes place from 7 to 11 p.m. and admission is $15 per person.



Saturday, April 26 will feature an afternoon of outdoor fun and music during the FREE Sensational Spring Street Fair at Fox Park, located across from the Wildwoods Convention Center on Ocean Avenue, from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. The Street Fair will include live entertainment throughout the day, a classic car show, a Doo-Wop ‘50s Bus Tour and a variety of vendors offering oldies memorabilia, merchandise, many delicious food options and much more.\

 With Spring upon us, Harrah’s Resort Atlantic City enlisted the help of the 1950s to entice crowds and provide the marina with some much needed R&B.  Harrah’s Resort featured a different legendary musical act each Thursday in March, including The Flamingos, The Platters, Danny & The Juniors, The Crystals, Shirley Reeves of The Shirelles and The Fifth Dimension on March 27th.

 

The Fifth Dimension is a popular music vocal group, whose repertoire also includes pop, R&B, soul, and jazz. They were best known for chart toppers like "Up, Up and Away", "Stoned Soul Picnic", "Aquarius/Let the Sunshine In", "Wedding Bell Blues", "One Less Bell to Answer" and "(Last Night) I Didn't Get to Sleep at All."

Totowa, NJ-based promoter Main Events won the purse bid for the IBF-mandated eliminator for the #1 position in the IBF's light heavyweight ratings between #2-ranked Dmitry "The Hunter" Sukhotsky (21-2-0, 16 KOs) and #4-ranked Anatoliy "The Gladiator" Dudchenko (19-2-0, 13 KOs). The purse bid was held this morning at the IBF offices in Springfield, NJ.  The winner of the fight will become the mandatory challenger for Bernard Hopkins' IBF Light Heavyweight Title.

 

Main Events plans to add the elimination bout to the Friday, April 4th edition of NBCSN Fight Night featuring the USBA Heavyweight Championship battle between Steve Cunningham and Amir Mansour at the Liacouras Center in Philadelphia, PA. 

 
Dudchenko, 35, is originally from Dnipropetrovsk, Ukraine and now resides in Los Angeles, CA.  He is currently the IBF Intercontinental Light Heavyweight Champion.  This will be his first fight in the Northeast and his first since signing with Main Events.  "The Gladiator" has won sixteen straight bouts in a row (seven by knockout) dating all the way back to May 16, 2008 with his first round TKO of Chris Eppley in Evansville, Indiana. 


Sukhotsky, 32, of Barnaul, Russia will make his east coast debut on April 4th.  He has only fought once in the United States, on July 14, 2012 in Las Vegas, NV where he lost to Cornelius White via unanimous decision. However, "The Hunter" has won his last three fights in a row - all by knockout - dating back to December 8, 2012 with his first round TKO over Volodymyr Borovskyy in Podolsk, Russia.
